In Scotland
a spirit configured into
a pony
may be drinking water
by a stream

Droplets of mist
can fool little
children to mount it

It rides them
through sandy soil underwater 
to their dissolving 
erasure

Imagine the divinity blowing
 a filly’s
aquatic limbs
into solid glass

Stand it someplace
& marvel at its translucence
then with a jackhammer
jab at its neck
& shatter it

Admire the geometric shards 
split into eye-snout 
belly, 
contra-posto haunches

of a cubist painting
with derriere angles

the tail, a rake 
of chandelier arms 

Walk around it, as you observe 
the planes in double vision
blur into each other
