Ali Abazeed
Ali Abazeed is a writer and educator based in Detroit, Michigan. The child of refugees, he tells stories that tinker with reality, bending speculative worlds around social fault lines and the unruly nature of human longing. His writing has long appeared in scientific journals and textbooks, but lately, he has given his restive creative impulses the attention they have long demanded. His fiction was recently recognized by the London Writers’ Salon. He is also the co-founder of Coffee & Script, a Metro Detroit writing collective for diasporic writers who thrive on good company and strong caffeine.
