Catherine Ware is a North Carolina-based storyteller. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Queens University. Her writing involves themes of Appalachian culture and generational struggles. Many of her projects center on nature, hope, and unexpected heroes. She is an adjunct instructor at Appalachian State University and lives in Seven Devils, North Carolina. Her screenwriting has been recognized by The Cordillera International Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival, Red Dirt Film Festival, and the New Faces New Voices screenwriting competition. When not writing, she can be found hiking, cooking her favorite Southern dishes, or attending Appalachian State football games.
