Gerardo Gabriel Pizarro
Gerardo Gabriel Pizarro is a Puerto Rican author, educator, and advocate for bilingual and culturally rooted storytelling. His work explores identity, belonging, resilience, and love, often highlighting Puerto Rican experiences on the archipelago and in the diaspora. He is the author of The Hostess Secret, El secreto de la anfitriona (Spanish Edition), Beyond the Language of Adalia, and Yuisa y la maldición del cemí. A passionate educator, Pizarro teaches English at public schools and higher education institutions in Puerto Rico, integrating translanguaging, cultural heritage, and social justice into his pedagogy. He founded G. G. Pizarro, LLC, which supports independent Puerto Rican authors through publishing services, workshops, and literary projects. His short stories have appeared in Beyond Words Magazine, SadGirlDiaries, FreeSpirt, Vermilion, and PRTESOL-GRAM publications. Pizarro holds a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language and is pursuing a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
