December 2005 was what I refer to as my “rock bottom.” After battling a crippling meth addiction for years I had had enough. I got clean and began to rebuild my life. If I only knew then what I know now, I would have been able to save myself years of trial and error. I've spent the last 18 years honing in on precisely what it takes to be successful in recovery. I most definitely do not have all the answers as there is still much I don’t know. I can tell you I know what works and what doesn’t. In an effort to prevent anyone else from learning the extremely hard way as I did, I began writing. I started to gather all my experiences, successes, failures, tips, tricks, techniques and strategies together and began to categorize them into various articles. One of them I self published on Amazon Kindle. One I wrote on the need for change was published in the International Journal of Advanced Research. My goal is to completely transform the way we view, approach and implement recovery from addiction. Our perspective needs to change and we need to be less lenient and more focused on accountability. We have to show those still addicted that recovery does work and they can quit or else what hope do they have? It starts with us, right here, right now.
