Iz Helfand lives in Kitchener, Ontario where he recently finished his undergrad in literature and philosophy. In 2022 he and the author Lisa Pike received a mentorship grant from the Writer's Union of Canada, and in 2023, he completed the manuscript for a novel as his undergraduate thesis with the supervision of Dr. Chad Wrigglesworth. He currently has six tattoos, all of which he gave himself with India ink by hand. They are all worse than his writing.
