Leslie Wines is a fiction writer, journalist and teacher intrigued by economics, mysticism, travel and languages in no particular order. She is the author of Rumi: A Spiritual Biography, (CrossRoad Books, 2001), a short English language biography of the great Persian poet. She also covered financial news for wire services, including AFX News, MarketWatch.com, the Associated Press and United Press International. Leslie lives in New Jersey and holds degrees from UC Berkeley and The New School.
