Mia Simmons is a first-year at Howard University, currently studying Political Science. She began to take writing seriously in high school and has since submitted several works to the 2024 Scholastic Art and Writing Competition, where two of her poems won regional awards. When Mia is not writing, she's thinking about what she will write next.
