James Najarian edits the scholarly journal Religion and the Arts at
Boston College in Massachusetts, USA, where he teaches nineteenth-century British literature. He grew up on a farm in Central Pennsylvania. His first volume of poetry, The Goat Songs, won the Vassar Miller Prize and was
published by the University of North Texas Press in 2018. He has published short fiction in Spectrum, Vermont Literary Review, Kestrel, The Ear, Xavier Review, Worcester Review, and The Hye-Phen Magazine.
