I’ve been writing since childhood, but joining my high school spoken word club showed me my voice could take up space. There I grew, competed, won scholarships, and discovered the power of words. In college, I tried to create that same space for others by building writing circles and expanding writing culture. Today, I write to stay honest—with myself and the world—drawing from lived moments and small truths that shape our reality.
