The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan was a victim of a massive Tsunami a decade ago. Three nuclear reactors underwent a meltdown. Fortunately, they were brought under control. Although dormant, reports have shown a figure upwards of 900 tons of nuclear fuel left untouched inside the damaged reactors. This nuclear fuel could cause an ever larger meltdown in case of a major earthquake.
