I’ve longed for you
You’ve longed for me
Two souls for each other
While we are still apart, its so lonely
We don’t know we’re thousands of miles away
We lived our lives across a world
Distanced by miles and time
Each of us made our vows that now are unfurled
Where have you been my whole life?
What took so long to find you?
I’ve search for you to be my wife
To give you my life, my soul, it’s true
I’ve longed for you, I’ve lived for you
You struggled here, I struggled there
I lived my life, you took a wife
You lived yours, I married too
Our marriages failed, this was no life
They did not get us, they did not fill us
They did not complete us or make us whole
So our search for one another kept on
Seeking and yearning for you to fill my soul
Where were you my whole life?
What took so long to find you?
I’ve searched for you to make my wife
To offer my love which only grew
I’ve longed for you, because I knew
We were destined to meet
Like magnets drawn to on another
The pull of this life did not tell us why
Yet every year, brought closer, one to the other
I never knew love like what I know now
You’ve filled the emptiness, I’d laid waste
I feel your love and pull deep in my chest
My sadness and longing need has been replaces
Where have you bee all life?
It took so long to find you
We’ve searched the world, through all our strife
I vow my soul, my heart and life, because I knew
That I was for you, and you for me, made to be one, not two
Why did it take so long, the years we’ve lost?
What’s left of life, we’ll live as one
Nothing will ever part us, from this day forward
It’s you and me until the end, our lives have just begun
Where Were You
