The orator of malice
Drinking from the chalice
Of higher beings
The overseer
And speaker for nonbelievers
That stayed silent
The screamer
That woke up
The dreamer
That went quiet
The keeper
That couldn’t please her
And gave her visions of violence
The roots
That took the truth
And hid it
Before it stemmed
The loot
That cracked the tooth
And set fire
To the hymns
The residual traces
Of humanity
That bring the choir
Straight to Him
