My name is Brandon Perry (my pen name is Brandon Samuel) and I’m a 28 year old African American poet and artist. I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and I’ve been writing poetry ever since elementary school, but would only really write on occasion or when I felt something on my heart to say. Recently, from what’s been happening in my personal life and the world around me, I’ve felt very inspired to write. My goal is to continue writing poetry and creating art to share with others
